Hi Everybody,
Hope you all had a good month in April :) To those of you who sent comments and feedback from the last newsletter I would just like to say a big thank you, your feedback was lovely! Apologies for not responding personally, but my email and internet connection have been elusive… hopefully soon I will be connected properly again.
Not having an internet connection since the beginning of April has actually been quite an eye opener. How much you can get done when you are not doing everything on the computer really showed me how reliant we are on technology and how much other stuff falls by the way side. Having my main source of communication and research removed has forced me to communicate on a more personal level as well as make many trips to bookshelves to find any information I happen to be looking for. The internet and email are incredibly convenient, but once unavailable you have to make a lot of changes to your lifestyle, and you would be amazed at how many other things that you have been putting off you actually get done :)
So while I am sincerely hoping my “isolation” from the world of technology won’t be for too much longer, I am grateful for the experience I have had this past month. Instead of going between clients and computer this month; I was outdoors laying out a labyrinth, talking to people instead of emailing them, reading tangible books and just generally seeing the world in a very different light by not seeing it from behind a computer screen. I think we can get very lost behind our monitors and in many peoples lives they can form lonely barrier between humans who choose to interact with others in their lives electronically. Now don’t get me wrong, I am the first one to bash and email out and send it, it is a noteworthy commodity and highly convenient, but for those of you who have rejected human contact and conversation in favour of the convenience that comes with electronic communication, give it a try this month, call instead of email, meet in a coffee shop instead of on MSN or Facebook, and if the sun is shining go outside for five minutes more than you would normally :) It makes a remarkable difference.
That’s enough of my rambling, hope you enjoy the newsletter below. Have a fabulous month of May :)
Love and light

Of All the Forms of Courage, the Ability to Laugh is the Most Profoundly Therapeutic
With all due respect to the concept of ambivalence, people find it hard to entertain two emotions simultaneously. For example, one of the standard behavioural antidotes to anxiety is deep muscle relaxation. If one teaches anxious people to relax their skeletal muscles, they have a tool they can use when they find themselves in situations that habitually produce the sweating, rapid heartbeat, hyperventilation, and sense of doom that are standard components of a panic attack. It is revealing to ask those in the grip of depression when was the last time they laughed aloud... read more

Taurus ~ The Bull
Strength is the predominating feature of those born under the sign of Taurus. With that strength, however, comes a firm-set nature which is difficult to change. The influence of Venus (this Sign's ruling Planet) makes for an emotional character, fraught with primitive urges, but one which can be sympathetic as well as strong-willed. Taurus natives tend to be won over through emotion rather than reason. Calm, reliable and patient, the Taurus individual is sometimes accused of being boring and stubborn beyond belief, but those born under the jurisdiction of this Sign can withstand burdens which would knock less stable personalities totally off-balance... more

Please Listen...
When I ask you to listen to me
and you start giving me advice,
you have not done what I asked.
When I ask you to listen to me
and you begin to tell me why I shouldn't feel that way,
you are trampling on my feelings... more

The Prophet – On Marriage
Then Almitra spoke again and said, "And what of marriage, master?" And he answered saying:You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore. You shall be together when white wings of death scatter your days. Aye, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God
